MCP server for Spotify control.

Setup

1. Get Spotify Credentials

1. Create app at Spotify Developer Dashboard
2. Set redirect URI: http://127.0.0.1:8888/callback
3. Save Client ID and Secret

2. Install

Tokens saved to ~/.spotify-mcp/spotify-config.json.

3. Configure MCP

Requirements

• Spotify Premium
• Python 3.12+
• uv

Troubleshooting

• No active device: Open Spotify on any device
• Auth failed: Run python auth.py
• Permission denied: Need Spotify Premium
